I help individuals improve the quality of their lives and life experiences. My work for the past eight years has been focused on general practice with a specialty in addiction and co-dependency, in a relaxed and respectful environment. I work with individuals and couples to promote hope, health, and wellness by creating a safe space conducive to facilitating change, reflection and interpersonal growth. My goal is that each person feels supported to become the best possible expression of themselves, in a culturally sensitive and responsive and non-judgmental environment.

Life is complicated, and my treatment reflects this. Each individual – parent, child, adult – deserves to be considered for their unique qualities. This often requires thinking outside the box and developing strategies that are far ranging. As such, I blend relational, cognitive behavioral, behavioral and play therapies together, depending on specific needs. I also depend heavily on parents to help support child-based services. When considering an individual’s challenges, I think it’s critical to think about social systems that support or disrupt behaviors. I don’t think there’s one magical way to solve problems for the children and adults I see.

My clinical style is warm, active, goal and skills oriented, and humorous when appropriate. I use CBT, DBT skills, behavior interventions, relaxation, and self-compassion in my work. These interventions reflect my commitment to evidence-based practice. Depending on the age of the client, presenting concerns, and clinical indicators, I work closely with parents so that they gain a deeper understanding of their child’s challenges. My goal is to give parents frameworks and skills that they can call on in day-to-day life with their child.

I belong to a growing community of neurodivergent and neurodiversity-affirming practitioners, locally, nationally and internationally. I have the amazing honor of working with children, adolescents, young adults, their families and schools to build collaborative partnerships and create inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming spaces. I use an individually-tailored, trauma-informed and person-centered approach, and pull elements from various modalities as needed, including play therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. A favorite part of the work I do is empowering clients to find their truths, their voice, and sense of belonging in their own journey of self-discovery.
